SOS Children's Village Philippines is a non-profit organization that works to provide homes, healthcare, and education to orphaned and abandoned children in the Philippines. Founded in 1982, SOS Philippines offers a family-based approach to child care, providing a loving home for children who have lost their parents or who have been separated from them. Their homes are run by a “housemother” and each one provides a nurturing and supportive environment for the children aged 0-18. SOS Philippines also provides access to healthcare, education, and vocational training for their children to help them reach their full potential.ShoreFamily is engaged with SOS Children’s Village Philippines in a number of ways. We provide financial support to the charity, school and educational items and have also hosted a number of fundraising events to benefit the children at the village. ShoreFamily clients and staff can get involved in SOS Children’s Village Philippines by donating money to the charity, supporting fundraising events hosted by ShoreFamily and can volunteer team time at the village, helping to provide education, mentoring, ground maintenance and other necessary services to the children.
